Transactional analysis is a modality of therapy that gives us a framework to explore how and why we develop patterns in how we interact with others, what we (often subconsciously) believe to be true about ourselves and others, and how we can become stuck in those patterns and beliefs in ways that might not be very helpful to us, or may no longer suit us.

It is considered a collaborative type of therapy where the ways in which the therapist and client interact and work together form an essential part of the therapy. You won't be told what you are 'doing wrong' or how to 'fix' yourself; TA therapy is about helping you notice, explore, and discover what is going on under the hood. The therapist uses their knowledge of the TA models and frameworks to guide you in that exploration at a pace and in a way that works for you, to support you in practicing and creating change that can be profound and lasting.

TA is the type of psychotherapy and counselling offered by Basis Therapy Services. It is available as a face to face service in Didsbury, Manchester.
